Sports Workshops
We deliver high-quality sports workshops that follow the National Curriculum for PE and the PE PRO Scheme of Work. Sessions focus on learning through movement, helping children build physical skills and strong character.
Our programme includes multi-skills activities and sport-specific coaching across a wide range of traditional and global sports. Through consistent teaching and positive relationships with pupils and schools, we support teamwork, leadership, resilience, and communication.
With over 10 years’ experience in schools, our lessons are carefully planned for all ages from EYFS to Year 6, helping every child grow in confidence and ability.
Our Lesson Structure
We break our delivery into clear, purposeful components. A typical lesson may include:
1) Introduction
Revisiting previous learning outcomes is a key part of setting the tone for the lesson and reinforcing prior knowledge. We introduce new objectives using clear language such as “We are learning to…” and “What I’m looking for…”, ensuring expectations are understood and the learning environment is purposeful from the outset.
2) Warm-Up
Children learn the importance of preparing the body for physical activity and understand the physiological adaptations that occur during exercise. We explicitly teach key terminology and demonstrate how to conduct an effective warm-up, including how the body responds and adapts.
3) Athletic Development
With national health concerns on the rise, building strong physical foundations is essential. Through engaging, aerobic-based activities, we promote a positive association with movement while developing core athletic skills such as balance, coordination, agility, and speed.
4) Double Skill Block
Breaking down skills into smaller components is fundamental to effective learning. Focused practice allows children to develop the technical aspects required to perform skills successfully. Activities are differentiated to ensure appropriate challenge and progression for every child.
5) Game-Based Application
Enjoyment is central to fostering a lifelong love of movement. Lessons conclude with a game-based activity, allowing pupils to apply their newly developed skills in an open, dynamic environment that encourages decision-making and creativity.
6) Plenary
We consolidate learning through reflective questioning and discussion. This ensures pupils demonstrate progress, retain key knowledge, and think critically about their development. Highlighting what is coming next also builds anticipation and excitement for future lessons.
